Shipping Info
International shipping of physical items:

Dear all,

today, I took two orders from the US to the local post office as I wanted to mail them to their destinations -- I was informed that, for the time being, small parcels or letters cannot be shipped to the USA due to the Corona crisis and, consequently, the volume of shipments being reduced significantly. I will spare you the promotional blurb from DHL's website..

Small parcels have been the only cost-effective way (well, sort of) of shipping merchandise around the globe for the past 18 months -- the only option there currently is, called Premium Parcel, is just that, and they charge a premium price for it: 37 Euros! This is insane.

When toying with the idea of ordering a physical CD or two (an idea which I always endorse, of course..), please get in touch with me first if in doubt. I don't want you to pay for something I cannot provide you with within an acceptable span of time.

This situation is affecting only destinations in the USA and Canada as well as in Australia and in New Zealand, shipping orders within Europe seems to be possible for the biggest part.

I apologise for the hassle -- if you have placed an order in the meantime, please let me know how you want me to proceed.

Kind regards, stay healthy, and take care,

Stephen

I really do apologize for the pending increase in shipping rates, thanks to Deutsche Post / DHL -- currently, the only option is shipping CDs as small parcels which are not trackable, and they are not insured. Please try to order multiple items through the doombient.music site here at Bandcamp in order to keep shipping costs at a minimum (sort of).

In order to avoid lost shipments, I always ship CDs signed-for -- at least this makes the shipment trackable to some extent. This is reflected in the shipping costs which some might find excessively high -- if you want me to shipan order signed-for, I will have to ship it as a regular parcel. This will be 15 Euros as of the time being.

Sometimes it *can* take longer than usual but this is beyond my control. Sending shipments to your work address seems to be a good idea but only as long as *you* are the one to actually receive it personally -- if it gets lost at your company's, this is not my fault, and not my problem either.
Please refrain from complaining like, "I wanted to have it as soon as possible as it's a birthday gift, and you t*at didn't ship it in time, I want me money back!" -- birthdays normally don't happen spontaneously or surprisingly so please make sure you order in time.
Return Policy
I cannot be held liable for any damages that occur along the way. I know cracked or broken jewel cases are a bit of a nuisance but I am sure you will understand I cannot send you a replacement (hey, damaged digipaks are a *lot* worse). I use padded envelopes for shipping which should do and withstand the rigours of travelling around the globe. If someone plays Rugby with shipments or runs them over with a van, it's not my fault -- please don't complain here but file a complaint with your local mail distributor.
